New Delhi: Expressing its disappointment on Indian government's attempt to shift the onus of cancelling Foreign Secretary level talks, Pakistan on Saturday blamed India for the ceasefire violations along the international border in Jammu & Kashmir.
"We maintain that Jammu and Kashmir is a disputed territory as acknowledged through various UN resolutions and its final disposition is yet to be undertaken through a free and impartial plebiscite under the UN auspices," read an excerpt of the statement issued by Pakistan's Foreign Ministry.
It maintained that Pakistan meeting Kashmiri separatiste ahead of talks with India was a long-standing practice. "Pakistan remains committed to meaningful and sustained dialogue with India to promote bilateral cooperation and address all outstanding issues between the two countries," the statement further read.
