Pak MP sends cousin to write exam for him
It takes days of investigation to catch PML-Q lawmaker's lie.

Islamabad: An opposition lawmaker in Pakistan on Wednesday resigned after he was found guilty of sending his cousin to take an exam for him.

Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) chief and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif told a news conference here that a party committee, after days of investigations, found Haji Pervez Khan guilty of cheating and asked him to quit his parliamentary seat.

The police arrested the man who appeared on behalf of the lawmaker from the examination hall in the city of Rawalpindi, some 30 km south of Islamabad, but he was later given bail by a court.

Sharif said that action must be taken against those officials who were involved in the scandal.
