In its bid to include youths in its fold, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has opened a social media department to train at least 50 youths from each district to write blogs for the party.

In its bid to include youths in its fold, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (OPCC) has opened a social media department to train at least 50 youths from each district to write blogs for the party.

AICC general secretary in charge of Odisha B K Hariprasad inaugurated the new department at the Congress Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. "AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi has sought daily progress report of this newly-formed department," Hariprasad said.

The team of the OPCC would link the urban and rural populations through the social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Linkdin. Union minister Srikant Jena and AICC secretary Subhankar Sarkar were also present at the inauguration meeting.
