New Delhi: More than three days after CNN-IBN and DIG exposed the doctor-beggar mafia nexus in the Capital, who amputate limbs for a price, Dr Ajay Agarwal is roaming scott free.

Not even an FIR has been lodged against Dr Agarwal even after Parliament expressed outrage at the nexus.

On Monday, the CNN-IBN, DIG expose on 'butcher' doctors drew strong reactions in Parliament.

Cutting across party lines, politicians demanded strong action against the doctors exposed in the beggars scam.

The issue was first raised by Lok Janshakti Party MP Ranjita Ranjan in the Lok Sabha.

"A TV channel has exposed how doctors amputate limbs for money. Strong action must be taken against them. There are other doctors like these, and action should be taken against them," Ranjita Ranjan demanded.

While the Uttar Pradesh government was quick to take action against the exposed doctors, all political parties condemned the 'butcher' doctors and demanded that the UPA Government take strong action against them.

The UP police have yet to trace Agarwal who has disappeared ever since CNN-IBN exposed his gruesome practice.

What's more shocking is the fact that Agarwal had been working in a Noida district hospital without the necessary qualification to be a surgeon.

CNN-IBN disccovered this on Tuesday, when the investigative team went to Noida to do a spot-check on him.

"As far as I know, for knee surgery, he needs to have a specialised degree and special training. Knee surgery is very complicated. He only has a diploma," Chief Medical Superintendent, Noida District Hospital, Dr Vinod Kumar, reveals.

CNN-IBN also learnt that there were allegations against Dr Ajay Agarwal of fudging a post-mortem report relating to a suicide this January.

"The post-mortem should have actually said it was a suicide. But it was shown to be a murder," claims Dr Kumar.

A show cause notice has been issued to Dr Ajay Agarwal who is yet to respond to it.
