News briefs: Jaipur gets country’s first textile park
The first textile park of India has been set up in Jaipur. The park is an initiative of the ministry of Textile and SITP scheme.

A common influent treatment plant has also been set up in the park for recycling of the fountain water.

Workshops, seminars, training programs, black print, skill development, designing programme etc can be organised in this park.

Jaipur: Brahmins protest NCERT book

The Brahmin community protested against the alleged misinterpretation of historical facts in NCERT books.

The community, under the banner of Vipra Swabhiman Mahasangh alleged that there are many distorted facts in the Class 12 history book.

According to the community, the facts are distorted and misinterpreted which are derogatory to the Brahmin community.

The protest was later brought under control by the police. However, the community has said that they will intensify the protest if the education department does not take up the issue with NCERT.

 Tonk: Woman gives birth to two-headed baby     

A woman gave birth to a baby boy with two heads on Wednesday at government hospital in Tonk district.

The doctors said that the condition of the baby is stable. Medical tests, including sonography, were conducted on the newborn.

The doctors added that an MRI will be conducted if the health of the child permits.

Ajmer: National Sufi Conference held

A National Sufi conference was organised in Ajmer in collaboration with Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDS) and Baba Farid Center for Sufi Studies of Punjabi University, Patiala on Thursday.

The event saw the participation of many Sufi scholars from different parts of the country.

Jodhpur: Two students enter classroom on two-wheeler, disrupt exam

Two students drove across the Language Department of Jai Narayan Vyas University on their motorbike while the B.Ed examination was going on.

A scholar, Likmi Meena, was hit by the duo’s vehicle. They also misbehaved with her. However, no action was taken against the two men.
