National Youth Day observed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: National Youth Day was observed under the joint auspices of  Vivekananda Padana Kendram and Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram here on Thursday.  A youth rally was taken out as part of the observance and Sports Council president Padmini Thomas flagged off the rally from Asan Sqaure. Cricketer S Sreesanth, athlete Selvan, cricket coach Ranganathan and M S Giri were present. The rally culminated at Panchayat Association Hall near Museum. A Jayakrishnan, Vice-Chancellor, Kerala University, inaugurated the public meeting. Bharatheeya Vichara Kendram director P Parameswaran presided. Sreesanth was the chief guest. Lakshmi Das offered a poetic homage. Vivekananda International Foundation former secretary Mukul Kanitkar also spoke.
