The band is set to perform in Kuala Lumpur in September.

London: Malaysia has banned Muslims from attending an upcoming Black Eyed Peas concert because it is sponsored by a beer company.

The Fergalicious hitmakers are due to perform at a theme park in Kuala Lumpur next month as part of Irish alcohol giant Guinness' 250th anniversary concerts but officials have barred Muslims from attending because there will be widespread drinking, reports contactmusic.com.

"Muslims cannot attend. Non-Muslims can go and have fun," an official at Malaysia's ministry of information, communication and culture, said.

Bosses of the Malaysian show's website also released a statement saying, "The party is only open to non-Muslims aged 18 years and above."
