HYDEREBAD: The state government will offer more than 50 per cent jobs for SC, ST, BC and minority candidates under the Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu scheme aimed at providing one lakh jobs in government departments and 15 lakh jobs in private sector over the next three years.Efforts were on to issue one lakh appointment orders on a single day by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in December.Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy reviewed the progress of the scheme with 20 cabinet ministers including deputy chief minister C Damodara Rajanarasimha, government whips and senior officials here on Monday evening.The chief minister has also inaugurated the exclusive website of Rajiv Yuva Kiranalu -- [email protected] online registration and other information.About 48 lakh workers including 35 lakh unskilled workers would be required in the state by 2015 as per the estimates of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).In addition to about Rs 1,500 crore mobilised by the state government for implementation of the scheme, another Rs 120 crore would be provided by the Centre.All the district collectors have been instructed to devise detailed strategies and action plan to issue one lakh appointment orders by December.Regional workshops on the scheme would be held at Tirupati (Oct 12), Visakhapatnam (Oct 14) and Hyderabad on Oct 18.
