Shillong: A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale shook parts of North-East on Tuesday.
The epicentre of the quake was located along Myanmar-India border and occurred at 1432 hrs IST, officials at the Central Seismological Observatory said in Shillong.
The impact of the quake was felt at many places in the North-East including Guwahati, Shillong, Imphal, Itanagar and northern Bengal.
There was no report of any damage to life and property, they added.
