New Delhi: Pop icon Michael Jackson's dermatologist could face charges of medical malpractice.
Police have decided to launch another investigation into Michael Jackson's death.
Investigators will search a Los Angeles pharmacy for clues. However, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office has said that there was no way to know who may be charged, and with what until the investigation is over.
Initially the investigators were keen to charge Dr Conrad Murray with second degree murder but feared a jury would not convict him if there was no motive.
Meanwhile, Dr Murray, made his first public statement since coming under suspicion in the King of Pop's death and vowed he had told the truth to police.
"I have done all I could do," Murray said in a one-minute video posted on YouTube. "I told the truth, and I have faith the truth will prevail."
The cardiologist is being investigated on possible involuntary manslaughter charges for his alleged administration to Jackson of Propofol, a drug normally only administered intravenously in hospital operating. Jackson died June 25.
In the video, Murray did not address Jackson's death, malpractice allegations or what he told police investigators. Instead, most of the video was spent thanking his patients and friends, something Murray said he could not do in person because he was afraid to return calls or e-mails "because of all that is going on".
