Mercury dips in several parts of Rajasthan, Mount Abu freezes at 2.4 degree Celsius

Night temperatures fell markedly in several districts in Rajasthan as biting cold waves gave no respite to residents.

Mount Abu was recorded as the coldest place with registering a minimum of 2.4 degrees Celsius, 2 degrees down from the previous night, according to MeT office in Jaipur.

SriGanganagar, Pilani, Churu, Dabok, Jaisalmer and Jaipur recorded minimum of 6.3, 8.3, 8.4, 9.5, 9.6 and 10.7 degrees C respectively, it said.

Meanwhile, Churu recorded 0.5 mm rains till morning on Sunday since Saturday.

Night temperatures would dip further during next 24 hours, the MeT office said in a forecast.
