New Delhi: Director Zack Snyder's new Superman film 'Man Of Steel' is set to hit the theatres on June 14 in India.
"The film is going to be a visually exciting experience in all formats - 2D, 3D and IMAX. We have designed and photographed the movie in a way that it would allow the film to captivate those moviegoers, while respecting fans, who prefer a more traditional cinematic experience," Snyder said in a statement.
"We've taken great measures to ensure the film and the story come first, and 3D is meant as an enhancement," he added.
The film features Henry Cavill in the role of Superman aka Clark Kent, alongside Amy Adams, Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe.
Henry Cavill, the new on-screen 'Superman', says 'hope and goodness' are common between his superhero character and gods in Hindu mythology.
"India has a rich mythology and they're both (Superman and Hindu mythology) rooted in the same thing - hope and goodness," Cavill said at a recent promotional event.
The actor had hit headlines when he was chosen to play the lead role in the film after stiff competition from the likes of Zac Efron, Matthew Goode and Armie Hammer during the auditions.
Amy Adams not only connects with her character's determination in the film but also feels blessed to have featured in the movie. She says she would be honoured to do its sequel if there'll be one.
"I think that one of the things I have in common with Lois is a lot of determination and going after something. I'm not going to let my peer get in the way of my pursuit," Amy told IANS in en email-interaction from Los Angeles.
She plays Lois Lane in Warner Bros' 'Man of Steel' and feels blessed to be part of the Zack Snyder-directed superhero movie.
However, India is not going to be an easy platform to win for 'Man of Steel' as two Hindi films 'Fukrey' and 'Ankur Arora Murder Case' are also releasing with it.
