New Delhi: Mumbai Police on Tuesday arrested a man who is accused of making threatening calls to sending erotic SMSs to Bollywood actresses.
Some of the actresses who have been at the receiving end of the Miraz’s calling spree are Priyanka Chopra, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Kangana Ranawat, Rakhi Sawant, Yana Gupta, Amrita Rao, Neha Dhupia, Isha Koppikar and veteran star Poonam Dhillion.
Miraz was nabbed in Hyderabad and sent to police remand till August 1.
Miraz, an unknown figure so far, is being termed as a ‘serial-caller’. There were many cases filed against him as he used to dig out mobile numbers of different Bollywood actresses and then trouble them.
Miraz was arrested once before when Isha Koppikar had lodged an FIR against him in Mumbai, but was let off on bail after a warning.
The accused had at that time fled to Hyderabad but refused to mend his ways. He used to use different mobile numbers and even landline numbers to call celebrities. Police have seized 11 mobile numbers from Miraz.
Miraz, who likes to call himself Don, is reportedly mentally disturbed.
His latest obsession is apparently Kareena Kapoor for whom he was screaming love messages even while being arrested in front of media cameras. The police however, have termed his act as a publicity stunt to grab attention.
