New Delhi: A man has been arrested for allegedly clicking objectionable pictures of a woman co-passenger aboard a Ahmedabad-Delhi flight. The accused identified as Gaurav Sharma was arrested on Friday after the plane landed at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
A case has been registered under Indian Penal Code Section 354C (Voyeurism) and investigation is underway, DCP (IGI) DK Gupta said.
The woman is a resident of Ahmedabad and the accused is a native of Sambhal in western Uttar Pradesh.
This is the second reported case about alleged sexual harassment aboard a flight in the last couple of days. Two days back a Bangladeshi national was arrested for allegedly misbehaving with an air hostess aboard an Indigo flight.
The incident took place on the Kolkata-Mumbai Indigo flight 6E 326.
DCP (Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport) Virendra Mishra said Ashim Bhumik (38), a Bangladeshi national, was arrested under section 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent of modesty) of IPC.
