HYDERABAD: A fraud who cheated job aspirants from other states in the name of providing them jobs abroad, was arrested on Wednesday by the Cyber Crime wing of the city police.The fraud Mohd Yousuf issued advertisements in newspapers in other states and used various fake websites to dupe the aspirants.He used the money collected to construct a house on the outskirts of the city, police said.Yousuf, a resident of Hayathnagar, was earlier caught twice for similar frauds. After his release on bail, he started issuing advertisements in newspapers in other states. “He gave different phone numbers in each advertisement to conceal his identity,” Central Crime Station deputy commissioner of police J Sathyanarayana said. He also created various fake websites and fake mail IDs.“The websites were hosted from Alister IT solutions situated at Jubilee Hills.Yousuf also opened four accounts in HDFC and ICICI banks,” Sathyanarayana said.Several aspirants sent their resumes to the websites and Yousuf made them deposit money in the accounts.In return he issued fake job visas and employment letters.“Yousuf duped aspirants from Maharastra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rajasthan and other places and collected Rs 21 lakh. With the money, he purchased a plot and was constructing a house on it,” the DCP said. Police seized the under-construction house, mobiles and sim cards from him.
