Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati on Thursday said that her party will contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections on all 80 seats in Uttar Pradesh without cementing an alliance with any political party.
The BSP chief, while releasing the list of her party candidates for 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh, said that her party will attempt to defeat both the Congress and the BJP in the Lok Sabha polls to ensure that a non-BJP, nor Congress government is formed at the Centre.
Mayawati also launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi by demanding the Election Commission (EC) to keep a close eye on both the leaders ahead of the general elections. "Mulayam Singh, Narendra Modi can manipulate and influence the electorate," she alleged.
