THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Students should be taught about the life of Lord Krishna, Women’s Commission chairperson Justice D Sreedevi said on Wednesday. Krishna’s life is a model to all. The philosophy of Krishna gains relevance in today’s society, where immorality reigns and spirituality is on a decline.Justice Sreedevi was speaking after inaugurating the ‘Sree Krishna Jayanthi Reception Committee’ of the Balagokulam here. ‘Many of today’s problems have their root cause in the problems in the family. Technological innovations such as mobile phones become tools for leading the children astray,’ she said.The society should be warned against such social ills, she said. Balagokulam district president Mukkampalamoodu Radhakrishnan presided over the function. Dr A Marthanda Pillai, Swamini Namithachaitanya, Balagokulam vice-presidents P K Vijayaraghavan and D Narayana Sharma and RSS district Karyavah P Sudhakaran were also present.
