KASARGOD: KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala said here on Sunday that the CPM MLAs who allegedly roughed up the lady watch and ward staff at the Assembly should be suspended.Inaugurating the newly-constructed building of the DCC in Vidyanagar, he said what had happened in the state Assembly was rather shameful and it was an unprecedented incident.The KPCC president said the CPM should take the lead to suspend MLAs T V Rajesh and James Mathew from the party. He said it was a normal practice of the Opposition protesting in the Assembly by entering the well of the House, but it was for the first time that the watch and ward staff were assaulted. He said the entire state should hang its head in shame.Chennithala said the Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan and Thomas Isaac did not seem to have realised that the LDF government had changed in the state.
