Four more IVRCL officials of construction company IVRCL have been arrested by Kolkata Police in connection with the flyover collapse taking the total arrests to 8 on Monday.
Earlier on Friday, senior AGM Mallikarjun, structural manager Pradeep Saha and assistant manager Divyajyoti Mazumdar were arrested a day after the flyover collapse which killed at least 24 people and injured more than 80 others.
Initially a FIR under culpable homicide not amounting to murder (section 304) was filed against the builder , which was later changed to a case of murder (section 302)
Terming the mishap as "unfortunate", infrastructure major IVRCL had on Thursday said it will cooperate with the state authorities probing the collapse of an under-construction flyover in Kolkata.
"IVRCL grieves the loss of precious lives and injuries to people and will cooperate with the authorities in investigating this accident," IVRCL said.
