Kidnapped man rescued

BANGALORE: The Upparpet police cracked a kidnap case and rescued the victim, a tax consultant, from the clutches of abductors. Five persons ,including a woman, have been arrested.
The accused have been identified as Sudha Naidu, Gajendra (23), Mohan (35), Lakshmikanth (27), all from Gulbarga, and Vasanth alias Ramesh (22) of Sarjapura Road. They are accused of abducting one Ramnatha Nayak (45) of Honnavara taluk in Uttara Kannada district. The kidnap was over a financial transaction, the police said. According to the police, Nayak was kidnapped when he was talking to his friends in front of Ramakrishna Lodge on S C Road on Saturday afternoon. The victim's friend had complained to the police.
