KOCHI: Keli International Kalamela 2012, the arts festival for non-residential Malayalis, began in Zurich, Switzerland.Jointly organised by Soorya India and the Indian Embassy and with participants from many countries, the Soorya India Kalaprathibha, Soorya India Kalathilakam and Fr Abel Memorial Trophy will be presented at the fest.Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had inaugurated its registration procedures during his previous visit to Europe.The prize for singer Vidhu Prathap, who won this year’s Keli Kala Puraskaram, will be presented at the valedictory function of the fest. The `1 lakh prize is meant for Malayalis who made great accomplishments in the field of art.A ‘Naadan Food Fest’ by Big Chef Noushad has also been organised. Keli is the Swiss Chapter of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi.
