HYDERABAD: In a novel protest, members of the Junior Doctors' Association decided to attend to outpatients at the main gate of Gandhi Hospital on Sunday. The junior doctors decided to send a strong message through the protest that it makes no difference in attending patients in hospitals or outside since the hospital has no infrastructure.Speaking to Express, B Ashok, a JUDA JAC member said their protest is to send a strong message about the state government's apathy in providing infrastructure to teaching hospitals. In continuance of their protests, the junior doctors will also organise a blood donation camp at Gandhi Medical College on Monday where all PG students and house surgeons donate blood.Meanwhile, Gandhi Hospital doctors shifted Dr Swathi, who has been on indefinite hunger fast for past four days to the ICU as her health condition deteriorated on Sunday evening. However, there was no breakthrough in the logjam between the government and junior doctors.Ashok said no person from the government communicated with them.At present, nine junior doctors are on an indefinite hunger strike.
