New Delhi: Noted advocate Ram Jethmalani may have more admirers than you think.
He was critisised by people across sections in the country for his role in the Jessica Lall murder case recently for defending the person who was on the ''wrong side of the law'' but former Miss Jammu Anara Gupta says she wants to follow his lead.
Earlier, Nargis and Meena Kumari were her idols, but in the past three years, Ram Jethmalani has taken that place, says Anara, who was accused in the infamous porn CD case.
Though Bollywood has beckoned the beauty queen, she says she would rather sport the black robe and serve society as a lawyer and next year, she plans to start with her course in law.
Anara will be playing the lead role in director-producer K K Yadav's forthcoming trilingual (Hindi, Tamil and Telugu) film Anara, which is based on her own life.
Anara says her upcoming film, which will release in February 2007, highlights the police as the main villain of society.
She says her film is a crusade against injustice. She insists she has been brought up with social values and is not comfortable doing ‘sexy roles’.
Actress Smriti Jaykar essays the role of Anara's mother while Yudhishthir-fame Gajendra Chauhan plays her father. Mukesh Tewari plays the role of the main villain as a police officer.
