Jayalalithaa to campaign on Oct 9

CHENNAI: AIADMK general secretary and Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will be campaigning for the Tiruchy West by-election on October 9.The AIADMK chief will  start her campaign near Periyar Statue bus-stand and address the public at venues like Puthur Naal Road, Uraiyur Nachiyar Koil and Edamalaipatti Puthur Main Road.The AIADMK has fielded ex-MLA M Paranjothi, while the DMK has named ex-minister K N Nehru for the seat. DMK president M Karunanidhi will be campaigning for his party on October 10.AIADMK Lawyers Celebrate VictoryAIADMK advocates, led by S Diwakar, celebrated the victory of their leader J Jayalalithaa in the `2 crore gift case. Immediately after the pronouncement of the order, , they burst crackers and distributed sweets to others.
