Jawan thrown out of bus, dies in Bihar
Assam Rifles personnel had argument with bus staff over fare for luggage.

Sitamarhi, Bihar: A jawan of the paramilitary Assam Rifles died after he was allegedly thrown out of a speeding state-owned bus in Sitamarhi district, police said on Tuesday.

Harsh Narayan Jha died of severe injuries after employees of the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation allegedly fought with him over fare for his luggage and then pushed him out of the bus near Dumra early Tuesday, said district Superintendent of Police Anwar Hussain.

Jha was first taken to a hospital in Dumra and died while being taken to the Shri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur said.

Jha’s wife has filed a police complaint against unidentified bus staffers, who fled after parking the vehicle at the Sitamarhi bus stand.

Jha and his wife were going to their village Pachharva in Sitamarhi district for a summer vacation, said Hussain.
