New Delhi: In an effort to get Indian languages better represented on the Internet, Google India is hosting a forum focused around languages at the Jaipur Literature Festival that kick starts today.
At its 'Love Your Language' forum, the search giant is inviting participants of the festival and anyone who is passionate about Indian languages to contribute to the Google Translate Community.
Out of India's 22 official languages, the Google Translate feature for phones and computers is currently available for only 9 languages. Google aims to add more languages like Bengali, Tamil, and Telugu, to the translation feature and make content more accessible to users.
Google will have its Indic Keyboard at a demo zone located at the Google Mughal Tent. For those who would not be able to make it to the event but still want to help improve Indian languages could join the online community here.
At the three-day fest, Google will further show off occasions, monuments, artworks, crafts, and narratives from across India through its Google Cardboard device at a dedicated virtual reality space near the Durbar Hall.
