HYDERABAD: The battle between TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu and Kadapa MP YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is likely to continue in the higher echelons of the judiciary. In the wake of reports that Chandrababu Naidu is likely to approach the Supreme Court seeking a stay on the order of the state High Court which ordered a probe by the CBI and other agencies into Naidu's wealth, the Jagan camp is likely to file a Caveat in the Apex Court, as early as Wednesday.Filing a caveat will mean that the Supreme Court will have to issue a notice to YS Vijayamma (the petitioner) in case it intends to pass any order on a petition that Naidu is likely to move.Top sources disclosed to Express that the Jagan camp has prepared a detailed caveat, with the help of some top legal brains in the country. The AP High Court had asked the CBI, Enforcement Directorate and SEBI to conduct a preliminary investigation, independently, into Chandrababu Naidu's assets and submit a report to the court within three months on a petition filed by Vijayamma.Meanwhile, CBI headquarters in Delhi is still undecided on whether to entrust the probe to the AP unit of CBI headed by joint director VV Lakshminarayana or have a separate team in Delhi itself, which can be sent to Hyderabad.Sources said since Lakshminarayana is already burdened with probing the cases pertaining to the alleged illegal assets of Jagan, illegal mining case involving Gali Janardhan Reddy and the Emaar scam, CBI is yet to finalise the officer to lead the probe."Things will be clear in a day or two," sources said.
