Even after prompt repayment, officials were refusing to sanction a fresh loan, he said.Out of frustration, Suresh said he attempted to take the extreme step on the Collectorate premises.Collector Jayashree Muralidharan said Suresh did not approach her for a loan. However, she said in a statement that he had already availed of two loans with subsidy. During the interrogation, it was learnt that Suresh had received orders for the third loan through the Primary Coop bank in Thuraiyur on July 13.
