'Vellachi' is her first Tamil film as a composer. Though she has worked on a films like 'Mitr, My Friend' earlier.
Singer and daughter of Isaignani Ilayaraja, Bhavatharini, has composed music for a film titled Vellachi. Although, this will be her first Tamil film as a composer, she has worked on a couple of films including 'Mitr, My Friend' directed by actor Revathi, which went on to win the National Award in 2002 as the Best English Film of the Year.
Vellachi’s story revolves around a lover couple settled in a village. Directed by Velu Vishwanath, the film is about how the couple spin lies, which goes on to affect their relationship later.
Comedy actor Pandu's son Pindu debuts as the hero in the film, while newcomer Suchithra Unni makes her debut as the female lead.
