KOCHI: Former Director-General of Prosecutions (DGP) Kallada Sukumaran said on Sunday that he stucks to his stand that Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty must be prosecuted in the Ice -cream Parlour case. He also commented the legal advice submitted by him will be proved correct, if the investigation on the case is carried out in the right direction. He told reporters that his intention was not to create any kind of controversy. “The report submitted by the then Advocate General M K Damodaran was different and it did not recommend P K Kunhalikutty’s name. “I had submitted the legal advice to prosecute Kunhalikutty only after studying the entire files and report. But the government headed by E K Nayanar decided to accept the report given by Damodaran. The involvement of then political secretary M Sasi behind this is suspected,” Kallada Sukumaran said.He added that for avoiding any controversy he will not speak anything about the report submitted by M K Damodaran. “I will speak neither about the report submitted by Damodaran nor about his recent comment on V S Achuthanandan,” he said. He said if investigation is made with right intention, then the entire investigation can be finished within a week.
