IBNLive Movie Awards: Kamaljeet Negi's work in 'Madras Cafe' get Best Cinematography
Grim and striking visuals of Shoojit Sircar's 'Madras Café' has got the nod of the readers in Best Cinematography.

Kamaljit Negi's grim and striking visuals in Shoojit Sircar's 'Madras Café' has got the nod of the readers in Best Cinematography category. 'Madras Cafe' got 28.79% votes while Mahendra Shetty's work in 'Lootera' was a close second with 25.76% votes.

John Abraham and Shoojit Sircar decided to make a tough film and Kamaljeet Negi gave them the exact visuals they wanted to make the war film. It's very difficult to maintain continuity in an open space but Negi did that marvelously and his work gave goose bumps to the viewers.

Mahendra Shetty's work in 'Lootera' earned the second spot in the poll. To make the era in which the story was set, the camera movements were not too flashy. Director Vikramaditya Motwane and Mahendra Shetty poured their hearts out in the beautiful frames of 'Lootera'.

Saurabh Goswami's work in 'Ek Thi Daayan' got 14. 36% votes. Goswami created the magical world of Bobo the Baffler which was stark 'different' than other Bollywood films that we see now. Plus, it was a story that was dark yet delectable without getting too noisy. For example, take the first scene of the film which shows a lift emerging on top of a stage. You see the road behind and the vastness of the magic would start haunting you.

Surprisingly the picturesque work in 'Kai Po Che' and 'Ship Of Theseus' did not get as many votes. While Anay Goswamy's cinematography in 'Kai Po Che' got 8.75% votes, Pankaj Kumar's pathbraking shots in 'Ship Of Theseus' got the lowest votes-8.38% while 'Dhoom 3' got 13.98% votes.
