The Andhra Pradesh high court had dismissed their bail plea. The court sent them to judicial custody till May 14.

HYDERABAD: Mohammed Bin Omer Yafai alias Mohammed Pahelwan, who is the key accused in the attack on MIM MLA Akbruddin, along with his brothers Younus Bin Omer Yafai and Mohd Bahadur Ali Khan alias Munawar Iqbal surrendered before the Nampally court here on Tuesday. The Andhra Pradesh high court had dismissed their bail plea. The court sent them to judicial custody till May 14. On April 25, the high court cancelled the bail granted to Mohammed Bin Omer Yafai alias Mohammed Pahelwan, the prime accused, and two others allegedly involved in the  attempt to murder Akbaruddin Owaisi, MIM floor leader in the Assembly, in April 2011. While cancelling the bail granted to Mohammed Pahelwan and his brother Younus Bin Omer Yafai and Mohammed Bahadur Ali Khan alias Munawar Iqbal, the high court directed them to surrender before the trial court forthwith.They had allegedly tried to kill the legislator on April 30, 2011 when the latter was on a padayatra in the Barkas area.
