New Delhi: HP unveiled two new mobile devices, the 6-inch HP Slate6 VoiceTab phablet and the 7-inch HP Slate7 VoiceTab tablet. The new devices are powered by a quad-core processor and also feature voice-calling capability.
Built on Android operating system, the HP Slate6 and HP Slate7 come equipped with a 3G Dual SIM Dual Standby feature. The HP Slate6 and HP Slate7 also offer frontal stereo speakers which are claimed to deliver quality sound. The devices have an IPS Panel to deliver a better viewing angle.
Both devices come equipped with an HD front and rear camera. The the HP Slate6 and HP Slate7 feature a pixilated, scratch-resistant back cover design. The HP Slate6 VoiceTab and HP Slate7 VoiceTab are expected to be available in India in February.
The devices will run Android 4.2 OS. They will come with 16 GB of internal storage and will support a microSD card of up to 32GB for additional storage. Both the HP Slate6 and HP Slate7 have a 2 megapixel front-facing camera and 5 megapixel rear camera with flash.
The Slate6 is slightly less than 9mm thick, while the Slate7 measures 9.5 mm thick.
