BANGALORE: The High Court on Friday adjourned the bail petition of jailed former chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, who is under judicial custody since October 22, by a Special Lokayukta Court in alleged land scam cases.Senior counsels Jayakumar S Patil and Tony Sebastian argued on behalf of Yeddyurappa and tainted former Minister S N Krishnaiah Shetty, who is a co-accused in the alleged illegal land denotification case, respectively. A bench headed by Justice B V Pinto directed counsel C H Hanumantharaya, appearing for the complainant advocate Sirajin Basha, to argue on the case on October 24.‘Try hard till you implicate me’Bangalore: Home Minister R Ashok, against whom the Lokayukta Court has ordered a probe in the illegal denotification case, said that this was not the first time a case has been lodged against him.He said that earlier three attempts were made to file cases against him, which were not accepted by the High Court and the Governor.“The saying goes, try till you win. In my case, those behind filing cases against me will not win even this time.” He added that he would fight the case legally and extend all support to the investigation.CM D V Sadananda Gowda refused to comment on the case.
