Yeongam: McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton pipped Ferrari's Fernando Alonso to fastest time in first practice on Friday at the Korean Grand Prix. The duo dominated the timesheets all session, with the Ferrari narrowly ahead of the McLaren for much of it, before Hamilton edged past ahead at the end.
Red Red Bull's Mark Webber and Sebastian Vettel were third and fifth respectively, with Ferrari's Felipe Massa in fourth. The Mercedes of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg were sixth and seventh.
Hamilton's best time of 1:39.148 was set in his final lap, around three tenths up on Alonso.
