The High Court on Wednesday issued notices to the State Government,
Deputy Secretary for Revenue Department and Rashtrotthana Parishat(RSP) represented by its Secretary General in connection
with a PIL alleging encroachment of gomala (grazing grounds) land at
Nayakandranalli and Juganahalli near Doddaballapur taluk.Hearing the petition filed by Dr Venkata Reddy, Vice- President
of Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha, a Division Bench, comprising Chief Justice
Vikramajit Sen and Justice Aravind Kumar also directed authorities to maintain status
quo in the case. The Bench adjourned the case to October 17 for further hearing.
Rashtrotthana Parishat has written a letter addressing former Revenue Minister
and BJP MLA Karunakar
Reddy seeking to allot 50 acres of land in
Nayakandranalli and 23.3 acres in Juganahalli. Based on the requisition, Reddy
had allegedly directed the concerned authorities to allot the land in favour of

government has illegally allotted land meant for gomala to the Rashtrotthanana Parishat.
