German Embassy Denies Pakistani Media Report on Surgical Strike
The report claimed that German authorities shared this information with Pakistan embassy officials in Berlin.

The German embassy in New Delhi has said that a Pakistani newspaper report on a purported conversation between its ambassador and the Indian Foreign Secretary denying surgical strikes in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir is "without truth".

"The story in The News is unfounded and without truth," the acting spokesperson of the German embassy in New Delhi told News18 on Friday over the phone. Ambassador Dr Martin Ney couldn’t be reached for comment as he is out on a business trip.

The Pakistani daily's report on October 14 said India's Foreign Secretary "admitted" to the German Ambassador in a recent meeting that Indian Army did not in fact carry out surgical strikes across the Line of Control.

The report claimed that German authorities shared this information with Pakistan embassy officials in Berlin.

The report was also rubbished by Vikas Swarup, spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, who in a statement on Twitter called Swarup called it “concocted” and “baseless”.
