KOCHI: George Kandathil, 91, psychologist and director of Institute for Counseling and Transactional Analysis (ICTA), died here on Monday. He served both nationally and internationally as a psychologist and had introduced a new concept called ‘Triology’ in TA (Transactional Analysis) psychology. The ICTA, the centre founded by him, was instrumental in promoting the TA pscychology among the corporate executives in India and abroad. He was the first Asian to be trained in Transaction Analysis developed by Eric Burn in the US in the 1950s and also authored several books in psychology. The body will be kept in the ICTA to pay last respects. The funeral will be held at Christ Hall, Malapparambu, Kozhikode at 11 pm.
