Ganesh Chaturthi festival begins on Sept 13, and organisers are busy getting enough insurance cover for idols.
All mandals put together, Rs 600 crore of insurance cover has been sought. This is almost a 20 percent jump as compared to last year. GSB Seva Mandal in Kings Circle, has taken a cover of Rs 264.75 crore. Insurance covers jewellery, personal accident policy for devotees and workers.
