Fire breaks out at Lakhani shoe factory, 33 injured

Faridabad: Around 33 people were injured when a fire broke out at a shoe manufacturing factory in Faridabad industrial area on Friday, police said.

The blaze erupted at the factory building of Lakhani Shoes and spread quickly. Fifteen fire tenders were pressed into service to bring the flames under control.

While 25 injured people have been admitted to the ESIC hospital, other eight persons were taken to the government civil hospital, police added.

The cause of the fire and the losses incurred are yet to be ascertained.
