Finishing schools project launched

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Education Minister P K Abdu Rabb launched the finishing schools project of the Kerala Institute of Travel and Tourism Studies (KITTS) here on Wednesday.  The finishing schools are intended to give soft skills training to students who have completed their vocational higher secondary education. Personality development, spoken English and computer skills etc are emphasised at the schools.  Schools will be opened in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. Tourism Minister A P Anil Kumar distributed study materials to the students. Transport Minister V S Sivakumar presided. Mayor K Chandrika was the chief guest.  KITTS principal Dr B Vijayakumar presented a report on the course. KTDC managing director K G Mohanlal, councillor G Madhavadas, KITTS director U V Jose spoke.
