Film producer Kalyan gets bail

HYDERABAD: Film producer C Kalyan, who was under judicial remand for allegedly cheating Shalimar video company for not giving VCD and DVD rights of Komarampuli and Khaleja, was granted bail by the Nampally Court on Friday.  Meanwhile, Kalyan's business partner and co-accused in the same case Singanamala Ramesh's bail plea was rejected.  Besides cheating of Shalimar video company, Ramesh was also facing the  charge of allegedly threatening film financier Vyjayanthi Reddy with the help of Bhanu Kiran, the prime accused in the murder of factionist Maddelacheruvu Suri, when she  demanded Ramesh to pay back the loan amount of Rs 14 crore.
