Eleven inmates of a juvenile home situated in Jehangirabad area of the city escaped after attacking security guards posted there, police said on Monday. However, police managed to trace and catch six of them in the wee hours today and shifted them back to the facility, they said.
Eleven inmates of a juvenile home situated in Jehangirabad area of the city escaped after attacking security guards posted there, police said on Monday. However, police managed to trace and catch six of them in the wee hours today and shifted them back to the facility, they said.
The inmates attacked the guards on duty with some wooden object and hurled chilli powder in their eyes before fleeing under the cover of darkness on Sunday night. After police were informed, a search was launched and six of the runaway boys were held.
According to police, the juveniles had been charged under serious crimes including murder. Police said efforts were on to trace the remaining inmates.
