Elephant herd Injures 4

BERHAMPUR: A herd of elephants injured four persons in Badakainchapur here on Sunday. They were admitted to Chatrapur hospital and two of them later shifted to MKCG Medical when their condition deteriorated.Sources said the herd from Chandaka forest had entered Ganjam district three years back and since then, has been creating havoc in Chatrapur, Purushottampur, Rambha, Khallikote, Bhanjanagar and Beguniapada blocks. Forest officials said the herd consisted of 20 elephants and though several efforts had been made to chase them away, they keep returning.
