New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate has summoned former air chief SP Tyagi to appear before it next week in connection with the probe into the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal scam.
The summons was issued to Tyagi under the prevention of money laundering act after the agency tracked alleged bribe money travelling to two of Tyagi's cousins. Tyagi was the air chief when the deal was Agusta deal was struck.
The former IAF chief has denied allegations that his cousins -Julie, Rajeev and Sandeep - facilitated the deal through him.
The former air chief marshal has also denied accusations that he tweaked specifications like altitude ceiling to favour AgustaWestland.
Speaking to CNN-News18 on Thursday,cousin Rajeev Tyagi claimed he has never met AgustaWestland deal middleman Christian Michel.
Meanwhile, a relative of SP Tyagi has claimed that the former air chief is hospitalised.
