A 28-year-old man, who had recently returned to the city from Dubai, was found murdered with his head smashed with a boulder at Patelnagar locality in Chatrinaka here on Friday.
According to Sub Inspector S Ananthaiah, the deceased was identified as Sikender, a resident of Moinabad in Bhavaninagar.
Sikender consumed liquor along with his friends near a nala at Patelnagar. Around 5.45 pm, locals noticed him lying on the ground in a pool of blood.
The victim’s brother and relatives rushed to the spot after receiving the information. While he was being shifted to Osmania General Hospital, he died.
