BALANGIR: The Orissa Bus Owners Association (OBOA) has threatened to suspend bus services from July 19 if the Government fails to roll back the recent hike in diesel prices. Diesel price was hiked by Rs 3 a litre recently.Listing difficulties in running a smooth bus service in the state, OBOA members accused the Government of doing nothing to check the fuel price hike. “Even if the Government’s technical committee has submitted a report, it is yet to come up with the decision to cut down the prices. If this inaction continues, we will keep bus services suspended for an indefinite period,” said OBOA spokesperson Debashis Nayak. OBOA president Prakash Mishra and general secretary Debendranath Sahu were present.
