New Delhi: Soon, the tech-savvy students of the National Capital Region (NCR) will be helping the Delhi Traffic police (DTP) in its latest effort to ensure road safety in the Capital city. To make the drive a grand success, DTP will encourage Delhiites to follow traffic rules and regulations through powerful and popular mediums like games and small movies.

While talking to CNN News 18, Garima Bhatnagar, Joint Commissioner of Police (Traffic), said, "We are going to make the road safety drives more engaging. After the exams are over, we are planning to rope in students."

Elaborating the plan, she said the DTP will be asking the tech graduates of the NCR to develop games on road safety. The games should involve existing road safety rules and in turn help the participants to follow them to ensure personal safety. If a participant follows the road safety guidelines and successfully finishes the game, he will be awarded with play off points.

The same goes for the movies as well. The DTP will be inviting short movies on road safety and road rules which could be entertaining, engaging and inspiring also.

"The games and movies will be uploaded on social platform - DTP's Facebook page - and will also be available at traffic training parks," said Bhatnagar.

She further added that it will add to the CVs of the students those who contributed to DTP's road safety drives. These students are anyway very innovative in their ideas and DTP will just provide them a platform to use their innovative ideas for road safety.
