Delhi government shuts down schools on Monday due to water crisis

New Delhi: The Delhi government has decided to shut down schools on Monday due to water crisis in the national capital.

Water Minister Kapil Mishra said the government will not be able to provide water to Delhiites from Monday but they have arranged some tankers to help people.

Water supply to the capital has been affected as the Jat protesters agitating in Haryana have blocked the Munak canal which provides water to Delhi.

The Delhi government on Saturday moved the Supreme Court seeking relief.

Delhi is staring at huge water shortage in next one or two days with 60 per cent of water supply affected due to the Jat stir.
