The Education Committee chairman said the total cost of installation of cameras would be about Rs 1 crore.
New Delhi: The South Delhi Municipal Corporation would install CCTV cameras and appoint female security guards in its 179 girls schools in the capital, official said on Thursday.
"We have created a new head in this financial year for provision of installation of CCTV camera," said an officer of South Delhi Municipal Corporation.
"The total cost of installation of cameras would be about Rs 1 crore," said Education Committee chairman Satish Upadhyay.
The civic agency has also created another new head, "Moral Education in Primary Schools", to impart moral values to students. It will cost around Rs 25 lakh.
